1. Information We Collect

FoodMetrics AI collects minimal data:

• Anonymous Device ID: A random identifier generated on your device, used to manage subscription status and usage quotas. It is not linked to your identity.
• Food Photos: Photos you capture are sent to Google Gemini Vision API for nutritional analysis. Photos are not stored on our servers; they are processed in real-time and discarded.
• Basic Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics (e.g., capture count, feature usage) to improve the service.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Name, email address, or phone number
• Precise GPS location (only general city/country for cuisine context)
• Health or medical data
• Contacts, calendar, or other personal data

3. How We Use Information

• To provide AI-powered nutritional analysis
• To manage subscription credits and quotas
• To improve the quality and accuracy of the service

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini Vision API: Processes food photos for nutritional analysis. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Open Food Facts: Barcode product lookups. An open, public database.
• Apple App Store / Google Play: Handle payment processing for subscriptions and purchases.

5. Data Storage

Analysis history and food photos are stored locally on your device only. Our servers store only your anonymous device ID and subscription/quota status.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your local analysis history at any time from Settings. Server-side records (anonymous device ID + quota) are retained as long as your subscription is active and deleted upon request.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date.
